Description

At first look this item would appear to be a Royal Worcester vase from their Persian range. However it is actually made of milk glass, hand blown and with raised gilt work. The patterns on the shoulder and neck are created in raised gold. The body has hand painted flowers again with raised detail and the style is again very much in line with the Worcester shot enamel form and the Aesthetic period.

There is a mark to the base which just reads P310. It is perhaps most likely made by Harrach towards the end of the 19th century. It also bears resemblance to some work by Webb of Stourbridge, some elements are not dissimilar from their ivory cameo range.

Condition

Just some minor wear and gilt rubbing with the odd small scratch. Overall very good for period and a lovely item.
