Description

A Victorian dump style paperweight by J Kilner of Wakefield. It has a central foil column reminiscent of coral with lots of bubbles emanating out in a teardrop shape. To the base it has a hot stamp of the makers details which is quite difficult to read and hasn't shown up well in the images.  It says J Kilner Wakefield around the circumference and 'MAKER' through the centre. Along with the main decoration there is lots of tiny air bubbles in the glass. 
 
 
Condition

 

The top of the weight has an orange peel texture from production with some small black inclusions caused by tooling or similar. There are two very minor shell bruises near the top which we were unable to get to show in the images but can be seen in the right light and angle. Normal light wear and scuffs and a 15mm scratch about 1/4 the way down from the top.
