Description

A delightful little pill box dating to the final year of Queen Victoria's reign.  It has a repousse top with decorative detail and the interior is gilded.  The hallmark is to the inside base and is from the Birmingham office with date letter for 1900.  The makers mark is for Adie & Lovekin a well known maker of the period.  The base is slightly concave and it has a friction catch and hinge to the opposite side. 

 

Condition

Surprisingly good for period.  A bit of indenting to the base.  Hinge working fine. Interior gilt very good for period.
