Description

An antique sterling silver propelling pencil.  It is a Yard-O-Led brand made by Johnson Matthey & Co. It is of hexagonal design with plain sides and tapering to the tip. The end twists to propel and retract the lead and there is storage inside the barrel for more leads.  To the body it has hallmark from the London office with date letter for 1941. 
 
It has a pocket clip which has the patent number 422767.  Around the top cap it has the Yard-O-Led mark and Made In England.  It is working fine and comes with some lead in place. 
 
 
Condition

 

Generally good for period with some minor wear.  The odd small indent including one that is more visible as the barrel tapers to the end of the pen.
