Description

An early 20th century flambe glaze vase by Charles Noke for Royal Doulton.  It is in a striking red colour with pewter and yellow streaks with some other colours at the glaze transitions.  The vase has a slightly everted rim and has wide shoulders and a tapering body.  To the underside it has the Royal Doulton mark in black with the flambé designator and it is hand signed Noke.  It also has the impressed number 1433. 
 
 

Condition

Generally good for period with a few light scratches to the body.  One small chip to the outer edge of the foot rim approx. 2.8mm x 2.25mm and quite shallow.
