Description
A 9ct gold dress ring set with an emerald cut natural ametrine with tiny diamond accents either side. The ametrine is almost certainly Bolivian and the gem cutter has cut this to give a subtle change rather than a sharp transition. The colours change depending on the angle and light and you can get a split of colour in the facets through the pavilion. The ametrine is approx 6.5 carats and it is set on a narrow band to maximise the impact of the gem.
Inside the band it is marked 10K for 10 carat gold, however that isn't a recognised standard in the UK so the Birmingham hallmark is for 9ct gold with the date letter for 2017.
