Description

A pair of Georgian sterling silver sugar tongs. They are of scissor form and have shell shaped ends. They have partial marks to the finger rings with the lion mark for silver and the makers mark possibly R.M but unclear. The style and lack of full mark is typical for the mid 18th century. The pivot point is working fine with a little slack so you could use them should you wish.

Condition

Generally good with some period wear as expected.
