Description

A vintage Nepalese hand made model of a temple guardian, a mythical lion dog known as Singha in the region.  It is set with turquoise and coral cabochons over the gold tone metal ground.  There is further decorative work with wire coils etc and the head can be rotated and removed  There is a surprising amount of work in it for such a piece.  Early or mid 20th century in period and a charming item.

 

Condition

Quite a few losses of the cabochons, some patina to the metal work.  Artisan made.
