Description

An interesting vintage sterling silver buckle.  It is a nurses type however the design perhaps suggests it is more likely intended to be used as a dress buckle.  The buckle is cast and of good weight.  It features a stag hunt with man on horseback seemingly in English Civil War dress.  There is lots of open work with scrolling detail.  Beneath the horse it has a hallmark from the London assay office with date letter for 1982.  The makers initials are BAO.  It is also engraved to the tang JMA.

Very good order with no significant faults.
