Description

Mystic topaz is a natural white topaz that has been treated with a thin metallic coating to the pavilion, producing a shifting iridescent colour play - greens, purples, and blues moving across the surface as the stone turns in the light. The fantasy cut takes this further: rather than the conventional flat or convex facets of a standard cut, both the crown and pavilion are concave, the inward-curving surfaces refracting light in multiple directions simultaneously and intensifying the colour effect. The stone is square form at 11.2mm x 11.4mm, set in an open work mount with decorative shoulder detail. Inside the band: a full Birmingham hallmark for 2006 and the maker's mark DK.
