Antique Aynsley China Hand Painted Scottish Landscape Roslin Castle Tazza c1910 (2899)
An early 20th century fine quality Aynsley tazza hand painted with a Scottish landscape scene of Roslin Castle. The castle is located not far South of Edinburgh on the bank of the North Esk river.
The tazza is of fluted form and has extensive gilt detail. There are raised white enamel 'jewels' around the top and the foot.
The scene is initialled RGK for artist Keeling who worked at Aynsley during the early 20th century. It dates around 1910.
Very good for period, a very small scratch to the left of the castle in the bushes which shows white. Minor flaws in the enamel dots around the foot which appear to be from production.
