Description

A late 19th Century antique art pottery vase Edward Bingham at Castle Heddingham pottery.  It features applied decoration with yellow, green and deep pink glazes.  To the base it is marked EWB Eng 1 and has the castle pad mark.  Looks like some oxides were used under the applied detail when have blackened in the kiln and have a metallic tone.
 
 
Condition

 

General crazing.  Some glaze chips in places.  Some kiln blowout around the foot.  One minor hairline to the rim.  All typical of Heddingham ware as expected.  A patch of glaze accumulation around the foot rim.
