Description

An antique Edwardian period locket pendant. It is of shield shape and has decorative engraving to the front with flowers and has optical effect ground. The reverse has further scrolls and a central heart which has an older British 9ct mark, we have also tested the gold to confirm this is correct. It has a facet cut suspension loop and the locket is hinged.  Upon opening there is old paper lining the interior, there is no glass or retention rings.
 
A very nice looking locket with the unusual shape. 
 
 
 
Condition

 

Very good for period.  Some minor wear.  Hinge and opening working fine. No interior components.
