Description

A very charming Edwardian period sterling silver small sweet basket. It is of quatrefoil shape with a decorative rim and swing handle.  It has a pierced gallery adding extra interest.  To the base it has a Birmingham hallmark with date letter for 1910.  It is also marked K8321, probably the pattern number.  The makers mark is for William Hutton & Sons a well known and large silversmiths of the period.  The basket would have been used for bonbons such as sugared almonds, mints etc. and quite possibly used for serving at a dinner table or buffet.  
 
 

Condition

Generally very good for period.  Wear is very restrained.  There are a couple of very tiny indents to the panels.  A lovely looking example.
