Description
A late Georgian period mahogany and brass peat bucket. It is of elliptical shape with a scalloped rim. The staves are mahogany and the inner liner is brass. The liner appears the original and holds on the rim just short of the base. The hoops are in brass and nailed to the staves. The base of the bucket is inset somewhat leaving it standing on the staves. A nice original example with a great period look.
