Description

A pair of 18th century Georgian sterling silver sugar tongs.  They have shell pincers and decorative detail to the arms.  The hinge is still nice and tight and it is initialled D.F to the hinge point.  There are no hallmarks which is typical for these items and suggestive of a mid 18th century date. 
 

Condition

Good for period with some surface wear as expected. One finger ring oval, the other more rounded.
