Antique Georgian/Victorian Coral & 9ct Gold Brooch/Pin (Code A674)

An antique late Georgian or early Victorian small coral brooch.  It is set with ten cabochon cut coral beads in sold backed mounts and small claw settings.  The back is unmarked but tests as 9 carat gold.  The pin is a base metal.  The setting is of oval form and the coral has been hand cut.  The coral appears to be Italian precious red coral and the shades vary as you can see which is typical of this period.  Simple pin fixing to the reverse.

Condition:  Some dents to the back of one of the mounts.  One of the coral beads has fracturing but appears stable and requires magnification to see clearly.  Small hairline through the gold mount to one backing which doesn't go all the way through the sides.  Natural colour variation in the coral beads.
