Antique German Elimeyer Dresden 800 Silver & Cut Glass Schnapps Decanter c1900 (Code 9813)
A German standard silver and cut glass lidded schnapps decanter. It was produced by the Dresden firm of Elimeyer around 1900 and is marked as such to the mount. It also has the German 800 silver hallmark. The decnater is of round form with extensive cutting to the glass. A goold gauge of mount with quality flip lid and a vacant shield on the handle. Approx 2/3rds size, ideal for stronger drinks. The lid is initialled IAM or similar.
Nibbles and small chips around the body to the prism cutting where it has been clanked regularly in use. Small graze, cut to the footrim where the glass cutter slipped during the cutting process. Slight water marking internally. Fine to use.
