An early 20th century Indian Hindu miniature painting of one of the forms of Radha Krishna. Beautifully painted in fine detail and wonderful colours with additional pen and gold work. The gold really glints in the light, something that isn't captured in the photographs. It is painted on a panel rather than canvas. There are some old pencil markings to the reverse. Old wire hanger still present to the reverse along with two small holes where it has been repositioned. A lovely example with particularly good detail as I hope you ascertain from the images.
A slight line in the sky on the right side, possibly a faint split in the panel from shrinkage over the years. Minor knocks, damage and wear to the frame. Painting is protected under glass hence the still fine colours.
Width: 11.8 cm ( 4 5/8 inches ) the frame - 6.5 cm the visible painting.
Height: 14 cm ( 5 1/2 inches ) the frame - 8.5 cm the visible painting.
Weight: 130 grams (before packing).
