Antique Persian Qajar Hand Made Brass Vase Mesopotamian Design & Islamic Script (Code 2729)

Description

A Persian Qajar or possibly Damascus vase.  It is hand made and hand beaten into shape.  It is chased with a detailed design including Islamic calligraphy.  Around the belly it has animals and characters in the Mesopotamian style which is sometimes seen on Qajar work.  Probably late 19th century period, but may be a bit earlier, an interesting example.

Condition

Period wear and quite a few knocks around the belly.  Some knocks to the base so it will rock on a flat surface.
