Antique Porcelain Plate Painted Swansea Type Floral Sprays and Gilt Rim c1820 (Code 0292)
An early 19th century porcelain plate, it is not marked but is very much in the style of Swansea. It is decorated with sparse floral sprays of various native type flowers and has a simple gilt line just inside the rim edge. No identifying marks to the reverse, there is a small impressed mark, but it is not legible. The porcelain body has a distinct green tint when a light is shone through.
Various small tight hairlines formed to rim (due to stress in the body as opposed to damage). Crazing, largely to the central area. There are some brown underglaze spots to the reverse.
