Description

An antique Royal Worcester pot pourri vase and cover.  It dates to the Edwardian period and has a date code for 1908.  The mark is in puce to the underside. The vase is of pedestal form with caryatid supports over the triformed base. It is hand painted with flowers ove the blush ivory ground and has pierced work around the rim. The lid has an acorn knop and gilt detail. 
 
The vase is shape G123 which is one of the original Grainger moulds which Worcester continued after acquiring the Grainger factory in 1889. 
 
 
Condition

 

Generally very good for period with little wear. One very minor stress hairline from the rim to one of the piercings, only really visible to the interior.
