Description

A fine Royal Worcester cabinet fruit painted plate.  The central well is decorated with apples and black cherries with blossom over a mossy green ground.  The outer border has cobalt blue and delicate pink glazes finished with embossed and hand painted gilt work.  There are harebell swags and scrolled reserves.  
 
The central scene was painted by Richard Seabright (one of the finest Worcester fruit painters) and it is signed to the left of the blossom. 
 
To the back it has the Worcester mark in pink with date code for 1920.  
 
 
Condition

 

Generally very good for period.  Some very slight marks in the rim gilt.  One small scratch to the central reserve to the right of the rightmost cherry.
