Description

An antique sterling silver candlestick dating to the late Victorian period. It is of Tuscan column form with a square base having raised dot detail.  It is hallmarked along the front edge of the foot rim.  The hallmark is for 1885 from the London assay office.  Above the hallmark to the scooped plinth it has a crest of a boar's head.  The candlestick is loaded and has a wooden panel to the base.  The drip pan is removeable.  
 

Condition

Some minor indents and wear in keeping with the period. Candlestick is loaded.  Some rubbing of the hallmark.
