Description
A very attractive 19th Century Victorian brooch. The central area is formed as a star with triangles either side. The brooch is set with table cut garnets and it is likely the item dates to the mid 19th Century. There are no marks, the pin tests as gold, the hook and backing are either a very low carat of gold which will not test reliably or perhaps more likely some form of alloy. Simple J hook and pin fastening.

Condition: Very good for period with minor wear. Stones all look perfect to naked eye, some minor wear under 10x magnification as you would expect. Cleaned and ready to wear or gift.
