Description

An early 20th century 9 carat gold ring set with a gorgeous and large natural rose moonstone cabochon.  The cabochon has a wonderful adularescence with the pale blue glow following the light and movement of the ring.  The band is bifurcated and the stone is bezel set with a textured detail surround.  The ring appears to be a hand made artisan example.  Inside the band it is stamped 9ct for 9 carat gold.  There are also some diamond point marks which are probably the jewellers references etc.  It dates to the inter war period and is a really beautiful example of its type.
