Description
An early Art Deco period ring dating circa 1920. It is probably of French origin and has elaborate head with multiple clear gemstones. The gemstones are rock crystal quartz. The band and main part of the ring is in 18 carat gold and there is a thin platinum sheet over the head. The outside of the band is marked near the bottom, however the marks are rubbed and indistinct. The gold tests as 18 carat.

Condition: There are a couple of tiny areas where the platinum top plate is missing. One is on the shoulder gem setting. Due to the design this is difficult see without very close scrutiny. There is also some wear and minor deformations to the gallery below the main setting, again not something that would notice when the ring is worn. Professionally cleaned, polished and ready to wear or gift.
