Georgian George III Antique English Sterling Silver Apostle Spoon c1770 (Code 2182)
A George III period silver apostle spoon. It is in the early Queen Anne style with the round bowl and squared off handle shank. The marks are not well formed and also rubbed as you can see in the images, the style is very much of the 1770's period however. The apostle terminal has a disc top with a figure of what appears to be an angel.
Normal light wear with scratches as expected. Some rubbing and softening of fine detail, again as expected for period. Marks largely illegible.
