Description

Warm, opaque yellow amber forms the centre of this bracelet, with natural variation within the cabochon lending depth to its egg yolk colour. The silver setting follows an irregular, layered outline rather than a conventional symmetrical bezel. At 5.5cm across, the main setting spreads broadly over the wrist.

Textured open circular links carry the design around the bracelet. Their small differences in shape and finish give the construction a distinctly handmade look; the links appear to have been formed and finished individually, not repeated as uniform machine made components. The open links balance the broad, solid colour of the amber.

A lobster clasp and extension chain allow an adjustable fit of approximately 18 to 21cm. The clasp is marked 925 for sterling silver. A connecting link carries the Polish silver hallmark for Białystok, with a further partly obscured maker’s mark that appears to read LK.

Condition

Very good vintage condition with light surface wear. The amber is secure, and the links, lobster clasp and extension chain are all working correctly. Small variations in the form and finish of the components are part of the original handmade construction. Professionally cleaned and polished.
