A vintage 1970s Lady Sheaffer 620 Florentine fountain pen and mechanical pencil set in matching brushed silver tone finish with decorative Florentine bands. Complete with the original pale blue fitted hard shell Sheaffer case.

Description

A Lady Sheaffer 620 Florentine writing set comprising a fountain pen and mechanical pencil, both in the brushed silver tone finish with polished short pocket clips and matching decorative Florentine bands at the cap to barrel junction.

The fountain pen carries Sheaffer's recessed stainless steel nib, marked SHEAFFER, writing an approximately 0.6mm medium line. It is fitted with a removable ink converter, allowing use with bottled ink.

The mechanical pencil follows the same tapered profile with a matching Florentine band. It is working correctly and retains spare lead inside the barrel together with the internal eraser.

Both pieces are marked Sheaffer Made in USA, positioned around the cap above the centre band on the fountain pen and around the barrel of the pencil. The Sheaffer white dot is set into each clip.

Supplied with the original pale blue hard shell fitted case with satin interior.

Condition

Good vintage condition with very light surface wear, less than typical for age. Both the fountain pen and mechanical pencil are working correctly. The nib is in good order and the converter is present. The pencil retains spare lead and its internal eraser. The fitted case has some normal period wear.
