Linthorpe Pottery Antique Treacle Glaze Streak & Ombre Effect Moulded Jug 1880's (Code 2816)

The body has raised floral and foliage patterns in low relief. Yellow glaze to the base with the Linthorpe impressed mark, and a number (1888) which is perhaps the design rather than the date. Dates to the 1880's. This pottery was made famous by it's association with Dr Christopher Dresser and Henry Tooth.
General wear with scuffs and scratches to the glaze. All over crazing with some fine hairlines to the base and a short descending hairline to the rim. Some wear and discolouration to the interior probably from being used as a vase.
