Rare 18ct Gold Omega Modernist Ring With Original Receipt From 1966 (A1495)
Description
A rare 18ct gold ring in the modernist style. It is by Omega and the stylised O's stand for the company name. Originally this was purchased with a watch in a matching design and we have a copy of the bill of sale for this item dating to 1966 from the Glasgow jewellers Edward and Sons.
The ring is quite chunky and has good weight. All the elements are formed from abstract O's aside the bottom panel at the base of the band. It has numerous marks to the interior including 750 for 18 carat gold, the Omega symbol in a triangle and an import hallmark for the London assay office and there is also a sponsors mark OWC for Omega Watch Company.
A great opportunity to obtain a ring by this much sought after company and great to have some provenance with the original bill of sale.
