An original Rene Lalique opalescent glass poissons dish. This is the shallow dish form with outswept sides and is the larger of this style to be made. The poissons design is one of the most recognised of Lalique's artistry from the Art Deco period and dates around 1927. The opalescent glass has a distinct blue tone against a dark background, and as it's name suggests you also get fiery tones when a strong light is shone through the glass. The R Lalique name is moulded into the glass on this example.
Very good order, some minor wear and light scratches. Some small indent patches in the surface of the bowl center from trapped air bubbles during the moulding process.
