Description

A Royal Doulton porcelain model of an Airedale Terrier standing alert with its tail raised. The dog is hand decorated in natural tan and black colouring, with moulded detail defining the distinctive wiry coat, beard and facial features of the breed.

Designed by Frederick Daws, HN1024 was introduced in 1931 and remained in production until 1959. The model is catalogued as Ch. Cotsford Topsail and bears the Royal Doulton factory backstamp beneath one foot.

Condition

Very good vintage condition, fine crazing to the glaze.
