Description

A finely modelled Royal Doulton bone china figure of a Pointer dog, model HN2624. The dog is depicted in the characteristic working pose, with its head and body extended, one foreleg raised and its tail held level. It is hand decorated in white and dark brown, with finely painted speckled markings across the coat and legs.

The naturalistic oval base is moulded with fallen leaves, uneven ground and a tree stump, creating a sporting field setting. Modelled by Margaret "Peggy" Davies, this model was issued between 1952 and 1985. The underside bears the Royal Doulton factory backstamp and painted model number.

Condition

Very good vintage condition with no noted chips, cracks or restoration.
