Description

An early 20th century plate painted by Albert Shuck for Royal Worcester.  It features a central reserve painted with ripe apples and black cherries with floral blossom.  The border of the plate is cobalt blue and pink and features elaborate gilt work with raised gilt dots.  To the reverse it has the Royal Worcester mark in puce and the date code is for 1935 shortly before WWII.  The pattern number is also hand scripted which is W8346.  The painting is signed A Shuck to the margin.  The painting is particularly good on this example and life like with excellent use of colour. 
 
 

Condition

Very good for period.  There are a couple of little scratches to the gilt around the border.  There are a few small glaze flaws to the reverse which have darkened a little over time.
