Description
A vintage Sheaffer Imperial Sovereign fountain pen and mechanical pencil set. The pen and pencil casings are 14ct gold filled and they are the white dot versions. The design is very attractive with gold diamond shapes over the black ground. The fountain pen and pencil are marked 14K G.F. Casing Sheaffer USA.
The fountain pen has a self filling cartridge and the nib is 14 carat gold. The mechanical pencil has lead in place and is working fine and there is some spare lead inside the barrel. We have cleaned out the cartridge of the pen but there still remains a bit of green ink in the system.
They come in a hard case with a purple satin interior shown in the images.
Condition
Fountain pen and pencil both working fine and in good order with minor signs of wear. Case interior colour uneven and satin to the lower section rubbed in places when the pens have been. Case exterior good with minor wear.
