Description

This Sheaffer Prelude fountain pen dates to circa 2005. Its brushed chrome plated barrel and cap contrast with 22K gold plated trim to the clip, cap band and end fittings. This finish is identified in Sheaffer catalogue material as model 342 GT.

The Prelude has a wide cigar shaped profile, sitting between a slim dress pen and a heavier executive style fountain pen. The Sheaffer White Dot is set above the clip, and the cap band is marked SHEAFFER USA.

The two tone nib carries the older SHEAFFER’S branding and is marked M for medium. Inside is a screw type Sheaffer ink converter for filling from bottled ink. The pen can alternatively be used with standard Sheaffer Skrip ink cartridges.

It comes with its champagne coloured Sheaffer hard case and original paperwork.

Condition

The pen is in very good condition with only minimal signs of use. The nib and trim present very well.

The case has some internal wear, including a split to the lining along the hinge area. The paperwork shows normal storage wear.
