A 9ct gold ring set with a chequer cut cushion prasiolite and diamond set offset shoulders, hallmarked Sheffield, circa 2000.

Description

The feature stone is a cushion-shaped prasiolite - (green quartz) - cut in a chequerboard pattern across the table, which breaks the light into a lively grid of reflections and gives the pale green stone considerably more visual interest than a standard facet cut would. The offset shoulders rise to meet the head at an angle, each set with small round diamonds to the upper face, marked DIA to the interior of the band.

The Sheffield Assay Office hallmark is struck to the interior of the shoulder using the international convention marks for 9ct gold. The maker's mark is PJ in a heart cartouche.

Supplied in a complimentary brand new presentation gift box.
