Thomas Webb Cameo Fleur Lily Pattern Art Glass Vase in Cranberry and Clear (Code 1766)
A 1930's period Webb art glass vase, this range being known as 'cameo fleur'. It has an ice effect stippled ground and high relief lily flowers in a cranberry tone. The rim is also finished in cranberry glass. It is signed 'webb' in the cameo form at the base. The pontil is ground and polished out with the base being polished in the factory. The vase is of waisted shape with a broad rim and it stands a quite a substantial piece on display. A nice example of this sought after design.
Good order for period, wear is very restrained and it appears to have had very little use internally. Some minor production flaws to the underside of the foot from the manufacturing process.
