Description

A Tiffany & Co sterling silver Elsa Peretti heart ring, designed with an open sculptural heart forming the centre - closed band version. The heart has the soft, rounded profile associated with Peretti's work for Tiffany, with the silver polished to a bright finish.

The inside of the band is marked Tiffany & Co 925 and is further marked © Peretti Spain. The Spanish mark is often seen on Elsa Peretti silver jewellery, reflecting the long association between Peretti and the Spanish workshops used for a number of her Tiffany designs.

Elsa Peretti began designing for Tiffany & Co in the 1970s and became one of the firm's most recognisable designers. Her jewellery is known for its simple sculptural forms, often using sterling silver in a way that made designer jewellery accessible while retaining a strong sense of design.

This is the closed band version of the heart ring rather than the open-ended style.

Condition

Very good condition overall.

Very light wear. The silver remains bright and well polished, with the marks inside the band present and legible. No original Tiffany & Co packaging is included, but the ring will be supplied in a new presentation gift box.
