Description
A vintage mid century ring in 9ct gold. It is set with a very attractive lab created orange sapphire in a broad emerald cut. The sapphire is approx 7.75 carats so stands out well as a show ring. Lab created sapphires have exactly the same properties as natural sapphires and test as sapphire but the come without the environmental and ethical costs of mined stones. The band is hallmarked for Birmingham with a date letter for 1966 making it nearly 50 years old! The makers mark is W&G. It is also marked SYN/ST which is the old style way of denoting a lab created stone.
