Description

A vintage sterling silver bracelet dating to the mid 1970s, constructed from a repeating series of articulated geometric panels.

Each central circular element has a textured finish with a polished horizontal band and pierced centre, joined into an open framework of shaped links. The combination of brushed texture, polished details and the open construction gives the bracelet the characteristic 1970's appearance.

The bracelet closes with a broad slide clasp concealed within the design. This is supplemented by two safety catches, one to either side.

The clasp tongue is stamped 925 within an oval, a form commonly encountered on Italian silver jewellery of this period. The bracelet also carries a London import hallmark for 1974 together with the sponsor's mark RGS for R. G. Springall & Co Ltd.

A particularly interesting example of 1970s silver jewellery.

Condition

Very good vintage condition with light age related surface wear. The slide clasp and both safety catches are working correctly.
