Description

The head is set with a flat black onyx cabochon, bezel set and well polished - a clean, unadorned stone that suits a signet ring of this scale. The top section and shoulders carry ribbed detailing; the lower half of the band is plain, which keeps the weight of the design where it belongs.

Inside the band, the mark 333 denotes the German 8ct gold standard, common in German jewellery production during the 1960s. A further mark, GT, is likely the maker's mark. The ring was almost certainly produced in Germany during this period.
