A vintage sterling silver pendant necklace set with a large tiger's eye cabochon, bezel set east-west in a reeded border with a round bale, on a fine 1.4mm chain.

Description

The tiger's eye cabochon is nicely polished and orientated east-west - a setting choice that makes the most of the stone's chatoyancy, allowing the silky golden-brown bands to shift across the full width of the piece as it moves. It sits in a reeded bezel with a round bale, hand-made in the artisan style rather than cast to a factory template.

The pendant itself is unmarked but tests as sterling silver. The chain - a fine 1.4mm link - is marked sterling to the spring ring clasp.

Condition

Good order with little sign of wear. Hand-made artisan construction, so minor irregularities are inherent to the piece rather than indicative of damage.
