Description
A vintage 9 ct gold ring of artisan style set with a 4.25 (approx) lab grown sapphire. The sapphire is of cushion cut and quite a bright colour with medium saturation. Lab grown sapphires have exactly the same properties as mined sapphires but come without the environmental and ethical concerns. The ring band is deeply bifurcated and the stone is set in a cradle mount and lifted high to catch the light. Inside the band it has an import hallmark for the Birmingham assay office and the date letter for 1963. There is a makers mark which is possibly HZ but the second character is unclearly stamped.
