A vintage 9ct gold zircon cluster ring, hallmarked for Birmingham 1979.
The ring is set with clear zircons in a floral cluster style head. The stones have lively sparkle with a slightly silvery tone compared with diamonds, giving the ring a bright look in the light. The head is raised above a textured gold setting, with rope twist detail to the split shoulders.
The inside of the band is hallmarked for 9ct gold, Birmingham 1979, with maker’s mark W&G.
Zircon is a natural gemstone and should not be confused with cubic zirconia, often shortened to CZ.
