Description
An interesting large solitaire ring. The star of the show is the oval facet cut pale lemon citrine with fine golden needles. This is known as a Venus hair stone and is a type of quartz. The gem is approx. 7.5 carats in size and is an unusual cut with a softly rounded pavilion.
The mount is handmade and artisan style. It has been entirely hand produced from gold stock. There is a faint 375 mark inside the gallery band and the metal tests as 9ct gold. It is perhaps someone's custom made item and the stone may have been a custom cut as well. The style suggests a date of the late 1970's or 1980's. A most unusual piece with the very interesting gem.
The ring will be supplied in a brand new presentation gift box free of charge.

Condition: Generally very good. The mount is artisan handmade rather than a factory perfect item. Gem with very little wear. A few indents around the girdle which are polished so which appear original to the stone.
