Description
A vintage 9ct gold solitaire ring. Instead of a diamond this ring uses a spinel of round facet cut form. Spinels have less fire than diamonds so it looks a more consistent tone giving intense flashes of white in strong sunlight. The ring has bifurcated shoulders which reach right up to form the mount. The side of the stone is open to allow extra light into the gem. Inside the band it has a full London hallmark for 9ct gold with the date letter for 1973. It also has the makers mark AJ Ld. The stone is 6mm diameter.
