Description

The ring is of bombé form - the top section domed and broad, tapering to a plain polished band below. The entire upper surface is worked in a honeycomb pattern, the regular hexagonal cells giving the piece a slightly textured finish that catches the light at different angles. 

At over 6 grams, the ring has a solidity that is immediately apparent when worn - the construction is substantial and the band tapers from 9mm at the widest point to 4.1mm, giving it a comfortable fit despite the scale of the head. The design is genuinely unisex in character and would work equally as a dress ring or an unconventional wedding band.

The interior of the band bears a 375 mark for 9ct gold and a full Birmingham Assay Office hallmark dating to the 1980s or early 1990s. The maker's mark is Gt.
